Your Session

Lets talk about what to expect from your session!

Fun family photo session Family on beach in Orange Beach Alabama Young Children with Parents

"An amazing experience with perfect timing photography! As a mom of 3 littles, it was so nice to have a photographer who has kids of her own and understood that kids will be kids. Somehow she captured high quality, beautiful photos of my chaotic family and I couldn’t be more thankful!" - Dallas Daniels

Prior to your photoshoot

Prior to your photoshoot you will receive a questionnaire via email. This includes a few questions to help me get to know you and also to help me understand your expectations from your photoshoot. If you have any examples of photos you like
or thoughts for your session please be sure to share them with me! I want you to get exactly what you want from your photo shoot.

Your Photoshoot

The day of your photoshoot I take a few minutes before we start to talk and get to know everyone getting pictures taken during the session. I understand not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera and I feel this time prior to the session helps us to get to know each other and make everyone more comfortable during the session. This is especially helpful with children. If you have small children I always recommend booking at least a 40 minute session. This gives kids more time to get comfortable with me and the whole idea of a photo shoot. It also gives us extra time which can be so crucial if littles need a break. If they need a break then I may have them play games/cuddle with other family members or take that time to take pictures of others during the session. I strive to get a mixture of both posed and candid pictures. This means at some points in the photoshoot I will have you posed and other times I will be acting as more of a guide, these allows me to capture authentic interactions between you and your loved ones.
